What can Micro-needling benefit? Micro-needling can be used in a variety of ways and tailored with other treatments such as dermaplane, LED Light Therapy and various skin products and clinicare serum cocktails to improve the appearance or texture of your skin or reduce scar tissue caused by burns, acne, stretch marks or even self-harm. A treatment plan will be discussed and put into place depending on your needs and desired outcome. What is Skin-Needling/Micro-needling? Skin-needling is the penetration of the skin by very small needles using a stamp type tool. The stamp contains up to 50 needles. Also known as collagen induction therapy, the penetration of the needles at a certain depth creates micro trauma and this initiates the wound healing response. During the wound healing process new collagen is produced and old misaligned collagen is broken down and removed by the body. This is particularly important when dealing with scar tissue and stretch marks. Over the next few weeks a new collagen and elastin matrix is created and this continues for up to several months. This new matrix will start to thicken the skin and improve skin texture giving the skin a fresher and more youthful glow. We recommend leaving 4-6 weeks in between treatments to maximise the results of this treatment. What can Micro-needling benefit?
